Conclusion
In order to develop
a biodiversity management plan, a management framework must be formulated
for the site. In addition, an appropriate protected area status must be
selected (defined by IUCN) which considers the physical, biological and
social components (i.e. land-use) of the site. Priority species were identified
and recommendations for the protection of species and habitats are stated.
As well, information on implementation, monitoring, and review of the
management plan has been outlined. Finally, the applicability and limitations
of the management plan have been addressed.
